Needless to say it was a rather heart breaking. Particularly since the Aquarium was a couple hundred feet a way from where those shots were taking. Sort of goes against their mission  "to instill a sense of wonder, respect, and stewardship for the Pacific Ocean, its inhabitants, and ecosystems."

Needless to say I spent quite some time searching for resolutions for fixing locking assertions with the jvm. The problem seemed to have come about once I compiled libX11 with the "xcb" flag. Which apparently breaks java. I was fortunate to stumble upon this thread. Since Zend includes it's own jvm you have to hack that version of the libmawt.so file. Changing "/usr/local/Zend/ZendStudio-5.2.0/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so" didn't work, but running that sed command on "/usr/local/Zend/ZendStudio-5.2.0/jre/lib/i386/motif21/libmawt.so" did.  

So I'm a happy camper for now with compiz-fusion and Zend working.

Now I've got to get to get dentist.

 Ordered my camera off ebay yesterday. I had been looking at the damn thing for over six months now. I had an itch yesterday and was browsing around ebay. Found a decent deal that came with some extra stuff like a carrying case, battery and 4GB CF card. Now I'm just antsy for it to get to my doorstep. I have a feeling it might end up with me stalking some UPS truck.

   Saw Explosions In The Sky  on Monday night, awesome amazing show.

 The rest of the week was full of meetings at work. Last night headed out to Karl Strauss after work for some grub and picthers. Then headed back out to the apartments with more booze and some gears of war.

Tomorrow: I get my Wii! :) I'm gonna play all day with my Wii.

 I guess there's just something about doing the waltz out in the street at night in downtown San Diego with fifteen other strangers and this pecuilar band from New York.

Managed to snap this while sipping on an Amaretto sour at some dive bar somewher in Downtown.

Yes, I was a bit late on posting this. I had the day after the last WIFS show, but upon accidently triggering the browser's Back button functionality I lost whatever it was I had written. Oh well.
