So the Gators, with a win over Georgia and a pretty good shot at winning out the rest of the regular season, have moved up to #4 in the BCS rankings. This gives Florida a possibility of making it into the national championship game this year, providing we receive a little help along the way. West Virginia will have to lose, preferably to someone other than Rutgers and Louisville, two teams that would also have to lose somewhere along the line. Then, the loser of the Ohio State/Michigan game would have to move far enough down in the BCS rankings to not be considered. All of this is pretty reasonable.
The downside is that Florida has to win against Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium, something we aren't very good at doing regardless of how much FSU sucks this year. Also, we would have to beat whoever wins the Western division of the SEC in the conference championship. This is likely to be Arkansas or Auburn. We've already proven that we may not face up well with Auburn and Arkansas is the team that beat Auburn...
I'm not sure how much of a chance I'm giving the Gators to finish out both skilled and lucky, but by God it is possible!
